Caring Where It Matters: The NHS Launches New Listening Campaign Across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

St Dennis

10/11/2025

The NHS in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has launched an exciting new communications and engagement programme, “Caring Where It Matters”, aimed at hearing directly from local people about what matters most to them when accessing health and care services.

Starting this week, NHS teams will be visiting communities across the region to listen, share information about new and existing services, and invite residents to take part in a survey that will help shape the next five-year health and care plan.

Listening to Local Voices

“Caring Where It Matters” is all about putting people at the heart of local healthcare planning. Through conversations, surveys, and community events, the programme seeks to understand what’s working well, where improvements are needed, and how services can better meet the needs of residents across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Local people are encouraged to take just a few minutes to share their experiences and priorities by completing the survey available here:

Every response will help the NHS design care that is more accessible, responsive, and centred around the needs of individuals and communities.

Highlighting Innovation and Community Care

The campaign will also spotlight a range of innovative services improving access to health and care across the county, including:

The Mobile X-Ray Car, Rapid Falls Response, and Right Care Car – bringing essential healthcare directly to people’s homes.

NHS 111 – supporting people with urgent dental needs, mental health crises, and more.

Integrated Neighbourhood Teams – working collaboratively to prevent illness and promote community wellbeing.

Digital Innovations – using shared care records and artificial intelligence to deliver safer, smarter, and more joined-up care.

Get Involved

The NHS is calling on local residents, community groups, and wellbeing organisations to get involved by:

  • Sharing the survey link within their networks.

  • Encouraging participation in upcoming community engagement events.

  • Helping spread the word about how local voices can shape the future of health and care.

Together, communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly can help the NHS create a healthier, fairer future for everyone — Caring Where It Matters most.
